Getting Ready For Christmas

Did you ever think you have to many kids, family member, or friends to buy for?

Well I have, but I enjoy giving to all of them. I like sitting back and watching them, sometimes listening to them over the phone, or getting a letter or mail saying ty.

Last year we (a friend) made a list of things we are to do every month to make things a little easier on us. We found out some worked and some didn't. Getting ready for Christmas 2012. I do have to say alot of things happened last year to change some of the out comes to this but we made the best of it.

One thing that I will change on this years list is buy a gift for someone every month. It don't have to be a big gift, but something is better then nothing. The rest of the changes will fit better with me and my family.
  1. Jan.- Clean up all the Christmas decorations and buy a gift.
  2. Feb.-make Christmas cards and buy a gift.
  3. March make Christmas crafts/gifts and buy a gift.
  4. April- buy forever stamps for your Christmas Cards and buy a gift.
  5. May- buy one gift for every child in my house and buy a gift.
  6. June- find crafts (Kids) and recipes for Christmas ( find a lot on pinterest) and buy a gift.
  7. July-Spend as much time with my family outside (most years this is are camp month), I would like to have some pressed flowers, and buy a gift.
  8. August- Stocking Stuffers- school supplies are on sale and buy a gift.
  9. September- Make sure I have supplies for baking cookies, recipes etc... and buy a gift.
  10. October- Address Christmas Cards, go thru gits that have been bought and buy a gift.
  11. November- rearrange furniture and start getting Christmas decorations out, figure out what to tell Santa to bring, cyber Monday shop shop shop.

Merry Christmas

Well here I am once again, I don't know why I can't remember to post more often, but  I will try to make up for a couple monthes next month. lol

Christmas is here once again and I have been busy working on projects just for that special day. I had posted a list of things for me to do all this year to be ready for the holidays and I did so so good at following it. I will post websites and pictures of what I made this year for gifts, and the cards. I didn't send out all my cards so I have a start to next year "yeah".

I will also update my list for next year so if anyone has any idea please share.

Merry Christmas to all my dear friends.

There’s nothing sadder in this world than to awake Christmas morning and not be a child.”
~ Erma Bombeck (1927-1996), American author and humorist.

It comes every year and will go on forever. And along with Christmas belong the keepsakes and the customs. Those humble, everyday things a mother clings to, and ponders, like Mary in the secret spaces of her heart.”

When you make a list do you follow thru with it?
Do you do things in order?
Are you happy with only getting a couple things done on it?

  • September- Make sure you have supplies for your cookies.
  • October- Address Christmas Cards, make sure I have enough crafts made for everyone.

    Well?

    1. Its December, you got your Christmas shopping done? started?
    2. Christmas cards sent out?
    3. Any presents wrapped?
    4. Do you know what your buying for everyone?
Isn't the holidays so much fun, the list can keep going and going. I use to be a person that just loved Christmas, any more I could live without all the drama that goes with it. Wrong color mom, wrong size, she wanted this I didn't etc...

Well my kids got a rude eye opener coming. They are not getting allot for Christmas! With not working and the cost of everything else it will be a year to be thankful we are together and a warm roof over are heads,. Don't get me wrong they are getting gifts, but it is going to be what they need mostly.

I have some of my shopping done cyber Monday made that allot easier, and one trip to the mall and I will be done. I have not wrapped anything except the things I had to mail. I sent a few cards out and I am thinking about sitting down and making a couple more. I also need to get out the decorations. I'm not doing the whole house, but I will put a tree up in most of the rooms.

Don't get stressed out its not worth it. Just go with the flow and don't over do it.

Have fun watching the Christmas movies, I know I am.

    Merry Christmas

    Love Ya All

    Christmas

Christmas use to be my favorite holiday. I loved decorating the house, wrapping the gifts, making homemade bows, I even made curtains. LOL I know I'm funny, but as I have gotten older and the kids are growing I just didn't have the time or the care to decorate any more.
Well this year I'm home and not working and I'm going to try to bring things back out that I haven't seen in years.
I started with making a gift, not sure who its going to but I'm doing it. I will try to remember to share it when I'm done making it.
I'm going to get out the Christmas cards that I started to make a couple years ago. So there will be a couple lucky people to get them.
I even started a list of the gifts I'm getting. So I think I'm doing pretty good.
If anyone has any fun projects for the kids let me know.
Whats your thoughts on Christmas this year?

What Color Christmas Tree Should You Have?

You Should Have a Blue Christmas Tree

For you, the holidays represent a time of calm, understanding, and peace.

You avoid family fights, and you don't get too stressed out - even when things are crazy!

You like to make Christmas about making everyone's life a little bit better.

You don't get caught up in greed or commercialism. You're too sincere for that.

Your blue tree would look great with: Lots of silver tinsel

You should spend Christmas Eve watching: It's a Wonderful Life

What you should bake for Santa: Chocolate chip cookies

    Gift Baskets

Gift baskets are so much fun to make and you can save money making them. Buy all year from the clearance isles, watch for things to go on sale, or make everything in the basket.

You can go with any theme a person likes. You don't have to pick a basket to put everything in either, you can get a bucket, hat, flower pot, even a pan so they can cook the soup mix that you put inside it.

So start with a list of people you got to buy for, what do they like to do.

    Examples:

Gardening- flower pot, seeds (look at the dates), gloves, hat, shovel, spade, garden statue, live flowers, etc.

Tea and Hot Chocolate- tea pot, mugs, tea bags, hot chocolate, and don't for get the marsh mellows.

    Cleaners for there Vehicle

If you search Gift Baskets online you will find hundreds of ideas.

Have fun shopping and making things.
