Christmas Ornaments

I have been making some ornaments, there are so many to choice from. Here are a couple I have made. Sorry the color is off, I guess scanning wasn't the best way to do it.

Christmas is coming

and what fun stuff there is to do. Yes I still have my cleaning and it is not on
my fun list, but someone has to do it.

This year I have been making some gifts and cards.

My cards are made from odds and ends I have in my stash. I didn't go buy anything not even the stamps I bought them earlier in the year because I new I wouldn't have the money to get them now. The nice thing is some of the materials were gifts from some very special friends.

Material:
Christmas cards and envelopes
stamp- front of card Tis The Season- inside To Be Jolly
winter wonderland embossing powder
sizzix cut outs

Happy Thanksgiving

Give us this day our daily bread, O Father in heaven, and grant that we who are filled with good things from Your open hand, may never close our hearts to the hungry, the homeless, and the poor; in the name of the Father, and of the Sone, and of the Holy Spirit.

Day 1 Cleaning

House Cleaning Blues
by Ellen Bailey

I have the house cleaning blues
I look around and see so much to do
I look at the walls, the windows, and the floors
I see heaps of dust layered like boards

What I need is a good house cleaning crew
But where to get one, I haven't a clue
I asked for volunteers, but none would relent
Their community spirit, it seems, had been spent

I could wish for an occasional hurricane
For me, that may not be such a bad thing
I could raise the windows and open the doors
And be done with these house cleaning chores

But hurricanes don't occur where I live
So its left up to me to clean this crib
I have devised a plan to get the job done
Since I can no longer depend on anyone

My plan is as simple as it can be
One that is not very taxing on me
My walking shoes I will lace up tight
And from this nightmare I will take flight

8:30-9:00
Get dressed.
Turn off TV and turn on the radio.
Chat
9:00- 9:30
Do dishes and pick up 10 things that don't belong in there and put them away or throw them away.
9:30-9:45
Chat
9:45-10:00
Clean out microwave- if clean scrub kitchen sink and counter
10:00 -10:15
Chat
10:15-10:45
Clean out one shelf or cupboard- now we all have to have a untiedied shelf or cupboard.
10:45-11:00
Chat
11:00-11:15
Put away the mess that you have made. If done sweep floor.
11:15-11:30
Chat
11:30-12:00
Clean outside of stove- if clean, clean off cupboard doors.
12:00-
Chat, eat lunch and work on the rest of the list we have for are everyday stuff.

Getting ready for Christmas

CLEAN THE HOUSE

There are 3 of us girls that have a bad habit of chatting in the morning, sometimes all day and we don't get to the extra house work (well at least I don't). So everyday one of us will make a list and we will follow it as close as possible to get are house ready.

I want to start getting out the decoration next week, but I can't put them in the different rooms until there clean.

A Mother's Child

A Mother's Child
by Mom
A mother's child is every breath that she takes,
walking hand in hand, they are every step that she makes.

And as their steps will grow to strides,
still a child, in mother's eyes.

Every ache and pain they shall feel,
mother will share and with love she will kneel.

She will pray to God to take care of her child,
to protect and guide them through every mile.

Her child is the very core of her soul,
from baby in arms to an adult they will grow.

For to a mother, her child will stay,
the precious infant she held that day.
