What Internet Slang are You

You Are LOL
The internet is always cracking you up. You could waste the day away finding things to laugh at.
You're usually the first one to find a new funny video, picture, or website.

You're always up for wasting time online, even if (especially if) you're at work.
You also tend to spend a lot of time chatting, especially with people who make you laugh out loud.

Easter 2009

The kids got up and found there baskets, had breakfast and were ready to go to grandma and paps. We were not going to grandma and paps until dinner so the kids were not happy, but that's the way it goes.

We normally don't give the kids to much candy, but for Easter you have to have candy. So the kids were running around all wired. I could not wait to get to mom and dads just so they could go run around and look for Easter eggs.

Here is a picture of mom and dads back porch. There almost done with it. When we have big dinners, we use it for a second diningroom for all the kids.

Here are some radem pictures I took at mom and dads.

Three of my kids have birthdays in April so we celebrated there birthdays after we ate. They are all getting so big.

You Are Considerate and Mature

You approach the holidays with responsibility and cooperation.

You'll do your part to make sure that everyone else has a happy holiday.

You aren't particularly picky or high maintenance during the holidays.

You're happy to be in the company of people you love, and you're willing to "go with the flow."

Of all the types, you are the most likely to give someone exactly what they want.

You're also the most likely to wrap all your presents well - to prevent peeking!

Plant a Garden

Edgar A. Guest

If your purse no longer bulges
and you've lost your golden treasure,
If times you think you're lonely
and have hungry grown for pleasure,
Don't sit by your hearth and grumble,
don't let mind and spirit harden.
If it's thrills of joy you wish for
get to work and plant a garden!

If it's drama that you sigh for,
plant a garden and you'll get it
You will know the thrill of battle
fighting foes that will beset it
If you long for entertainment and
for pageantry most glowing,
Plant a garden and this summer spend
your time with green things growing.

If it's comradeship you sight for,
learn the fellowship of daisies.
You will come to know your neighbor
by the blossoms that he raises;
If you'd get away form boredom
and find new delights to look for,
Learn the joy of budding pansies
which you've kept a special nook for.

If you ever think of dying
and you fear to wake tomorrow
Plant a garden! It will cure you
of your melancholy sorrow
Once you've learned to know peonies,
petunias, and roses,
You will find every morning
some new happiness discloses

Alzheimers

Today me, my mom, and my aunt went to a class on Alzheimer's. The class will be every Tues. afternoon for four weeks. National Institute on Aging and National Institute of Health is giving us this info.

My grandmother has Alzheimer's and we want to see what they are doing about it. We never realized how bad my grandmother was until my grandfather passed away and she was on her own. There are so many signs we missed when he was living and we just thought oh that's just grandma.

On the info they gave us they shared 3 stages.

Early Stages: (1-3 years)

  • Mildly impaired
  • Increased difficulty following directions
  • Increased difficulty understanding large amounts of information
  • Increased difficulty making quick decisions
  • Difficulty remembering recent experiences
  • Uncertainty and hesitancy performing duties
  • Difficulty handling money
  • Difficulty driving a car
  • Difficulty learning new activities
  • Mood personality changes

Middle Stages: (5-7 years)

  • Moderately impaired
  • Communication difficulties more prevalent
  • Disoriented to time, may confuse day and night
  • Asks questions repeatedly
  • Hygiene is inconsistent
  • May be suspicious, agitated, paranoid, or aggressive
  • May wander, pace, rummage

Last Stage: (2-3 years)

  • Unable to communicate with words
  • May not recognize family members
  • Needs assistance with ADLs
  • Swallowing difficulties or forget to eat
  • Mobility unsteady or become immobile
  • Incontinent of bladder and/ or bowel

Statistics say:

  • 1 in 8 age 65 and older will have Alzheimer's
  • 1 in 2 age 85 and older will have Alzheimer's

It has been really hard seeing my family go through so much and wondering if they are doing the right thing for her. I am thankful that she knows who I am, because there is some in the family she doesn't know. We think she knows me because I go see her as much as I can.

Is it Mondy Yet

It has been one of those days that I wish I could send the kids outside, but its to cold and wet to do that. They don't know how to just sit and watch a TV show with out fighting during the commercials. So the TV gets shut off, lets play a game ( I thought ya the kids will be good playing a game with me) NOT. So I send them to there room to play thinking they need to blow off some steam and run around. Well they broke the closet door. Then there is time out for all of them, so that means I have to watch them because they think if I turn my head they can do what they want. I'm ready to pull my hair out today.

On the plus side I got to talk to a friend today and dh is making dinner (pork chops, scalped potatoes, and carrots), and the kids will be going to bed soon. YAAAAAAAAAAA Then I will be able to have me time.

I hope everyone else is having a better day then me.
