What You Give A Women

"Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater.
If you give her sperm, she'll give you a baby.
If you give her a house, she'll give you a home.
If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal.
If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart.
She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her.
So, if you give her any crap, be ready to receive a ton of shit."

Blog Giveaway at http://shawnabatesart.blogspot.com/

Quote

If you want to lift
yourself up,
lift up someone else.
-Booker T. Washington
I like this quote and I think its very true. I like helping others if I am able to. Sometimes it can be something little, like a phone call or a card just asking how your day is going. It could even be just stopping in to say hi.
Don't forget someday you will need a lift, so go find someone that needs one today.

I Love to Read a Good Book

I just got done reading Outlander by Dianna Gabaloon. Now I'm reading the second book Dragonfly in Amber. I have 2 more to this series then I have know clue what I'm going to read. My review on these books are- There are parts that I just can't get enough of about Claire's life then there are parts that drag on and I have no interest to read. All and all I love the historical parts of it and it would be neat to be in her shoes.

I have only read one other book that was about time travel and it was The Time Traveler's Wife
by Audrey Niffenegger. This book was great. It would be a great book for a book club to read. Lots to talk about.

I also read about the Amish, love stories, etc... Go check out my book list on the side bar and you will see what I have been reading.

My question is what have you been reading and is there a book you would recommend me to read.

50 Ways to Use Ribbon

I really liked the ideas on how to use ribbon, so I thought I would share with you all what I have found.
By: Antuanette Wheeler

Here are a couple layouts I have used ribbon on.

Two sizes of ribbon put ontop of each other.

Pocket page layout for my homemade cards that I get. The ribbon was used to add color and a line to show me were my cards go.

Posting on My Blog

I have to say I haven't been doing a good job at posting. Why I have no clue!

I have been reading allot and waiting for the warm weather to kick in. It is suppose to be in the 50s and 60s the next 5 days so there will be signs of my plants starting to grow here real soon. I will be starting my veggie plants soon, and I got some seeds for some flowers. I Will Not Buy Any Flowers This Year. For anyone that knows me I'm trying to budget the money and I this is my first steep at doing it by buying seeds. For those that don't know me I would spend about $200 a year on flowers. Way out of budget this year.

The kids are getting all excited because they can go out and play. They were out yesterday and of course came in all muddy, but they had fun and that's the main thing. We are going to go out this weekend and finish picking up the yard I hope as long as it don't rain.

The neighbors got horses and the kids are all excited about it. They will stand there and talk to them. Its funny because you know the horses are like what are you talking about. As long as the kids don't cross the rode there not hurting themselves or the horses is the way I figure it. I'm not looking forward to the smell of the horses this summer. Hopefully they will keep it cleaned up pretty good.

So there is alittle update on us, I hope everyone is doing well and hope to add more to my blog soon. Take Care.

Cleaning My House

Decluttering my house is not going well. With dh home more, and it seems like the kids are home more to. I'm not looking forward to summer when the kids are home all the time and I won't be getting nothing done except outside things.
I am looking forward to going to camp and on vacation, so I know I need to do something around here now. I have started exercising at 10 am, I'm trying to do it everyday (2 weeks now and my but is hurting lol) and I'm trying to get my house all cleaned before I do it. That way I can get my shower afterwards, relax and spend time on the computer until my family gets home.
So when Monday gets here I'm going to add another thing to my routine and that is clean one hot spot a day or if its a big one it might take more. I will work on it everyday until it is done. Then I can feel good about myself I do feel good about exercising but I no I will even feel better with a cleaner house.
I hope everyone has a great weekend.
